  • Very habit forming and yes will cost you actual money

    By Sundaycomment (Pcmac user)

This is the best match game I’ve played in that beating the levels takes attention to detail, and the variety of challenges in good. Building out each aquarium is fun. I’ve found that every level (so far past 2300) is beatable without buying extras, but some take a few hours to win without help. Caving in and buying some diamonds or tools is of course always an option and I’ve paid quite a bit in cash. Unlike some of the other reviewers though, I don’t really begrudge paying for such good software - those people deserve to be compensated for their work, don’t they? I’m quite sure most of us don’t work for $zero. Would be good if the Support team actually responded to customers though. Great game.
  • ALMOST makes you pay real money to play

    By IssacDickinson (Pcmac user)

Bottom-line - If you ignore the contstant in-app prompts to pay cash for items, you can actually advance in the game (not easily) and it is entertaining. This deveopers other games are similar. On to the rant: I really wish game developers would stop this pay to play using in-app purchases. You used to able to immerse yourself in games without constant prompts to pay real cash for DISPOSIBLE in-game items. You may say, that games used to cost quite a bit to purchase outright and that you are just purchasing items in-app instead. Well this is partly true, in that you could actually pay a decent amount of money up front for a good game and enjoy it without hassle. In the past the prompts would be for shareware titles, while this and most games now use in-app purchases. In essence I have no problem with developers getting paid for their work. The problem is these payments are for single use items. So what happens if a year or two down the road you reinstall the game, do you get your purchased items back? I think you know the answer to that one.
  • Should Not have to Spend Money to Play a Free Game & Advance!

    By Frustrated Fishy! (Pcmac user)

I really love the graphics of this game & the cute messages! I have even shared it with my young toddler grandson, who loves to see the active fish! However, I find this game overly frustrating for the following reasons: the game claims to be free, but as you advance in the levels within the game & timed stages are introduced there is no way to win until you buy more time or diamonds to get the tools you need to advance out of a particular frame. I noticed that you buy what seems like a lot of diamonds, but then you have to use so many to extend time or gwt tools. One day, I noticed I had made three small charges to buy diamonds, but realized it added up to $25 for a few hours of fun?? Then, I decided I would not keep buying diamonds & instead forfeit a life, but then you are only allowed to do this a few times & then you get timed out! Each time, the timed out period becomes larger! So what I thought would be a fun game has instead become increasingly frustrating!! I will probably wind up giving up this game. A free game, shouls not become so costly!!!
  • Ok But Needs Some Improvement

    By 4mgg (Pcmac user)

It’s a fun game, but I don’t like being limited to 5 lives and having to wait to earn them back … and I HATE the timed games. I play for fun to relax, not be stressed out trying to beat a timer, especially when I can play faster than the game reacts. The value of fish tank decorations for earning stars should be equal to the amount of coins needed to purchase them, e.g., if it costs 2500 points to purchase something it should be worth the same amount toward earning a star, not one-third. The aquariums end up being cluttered and the design incohesive because I end up using random stuff just to earn enough stars to complete them. It’s also not fair to earn continuous hours of play time, but have them count down continuously. I don’t know about others who play, but I don’t have 6 hours to sit around playing a game. The countdown clock should stop when the game is exited and the remaining time should be available when the game is restarted. Also, I started another game on a new laptop ... I completed all four aquariums in the first three sets, but the fourth set won't unlock. What gives?
