What is Doc OCR? The app is called DocOCR and it is a document scanning and OCR (Optical Character Recognition) app for iOS devices. It allows users to scan and OCR documents, books, whiteboards, receipts, business cards, posters, coupons, etc. as PDFs, and annotate or sign the scanned PDFs. The app can automatically detect document edges and surface in a picture, dewarp curved surface, correct perspective distortion, remove shadows and brighten it up to produce a clear and sharp document, especially useful in a low-light environment. Users can organize their scanned documents in folders, search for documents by name, and export OCR results as txt or docx files. The app also supports various ways to import/export documents, including faxing, transferring between devices, and uploading to cloud storage services.
