New take on a classic game? :p

What I like about it. Easy to play and goes fast. That's it.
I don't like that it's too different from original game. Why is the carrier so big? There's only supposed to be 5 ships and they are supposed to be in one row. Carrier 5, battleship 4, destroyer 3, sub 3 and PT 2. You're also supposed to take one shot at a time. That's it. One shot then the next person goes. You also should not know what ship you hit if you land a shot. I don't recall playing as a child when someone got a hit on my ship telling them, "that's one on my carrier." It's so dumb. Part of the strategy and fun is trying to figure out what ship you hit. Finally the AI is way too "smart" for this game. If it gets a hit it doesn't miss again until the ship is sunk and with no actual turns occurring one hit and your ship is sunk. Total bs.
This game would be great if they gave you the option to play traditional battleship.

Issue with the AI

The AI often makes successive lucky hits. I’m sure it’s either chance or interpolation of data (there are limited places to place ships, and people usually place in a pattern).
However, there is at least one instance that is not. The two smallest ships are bugged. They get revealed to the AI when it hits the position below them in a vertical position. The miss gets marked as a hit every time as well, meaning this ship variety almost always get marked in this way and fully wiped out. This does not happen for the player, so it’s definitely not a ship feature.
Levels of AI difficulty would be nice. Giving a three despite the bug due to a pretty nice coop feature!

It’s almost a great game.

I really enjoy the game but I have one major issue. The computer is rigged and has an unfair advantage. Each of my little boats are taken out even when the computer picks the place below the end of the ship. If it picks the spot right at the end, computer gets a hit even though it missed. The same is not true for when I make the same move. I lose numerous ships in one turn so often that it’s unreasonable. I find this highly frustrating.

Computer cheating?

This is a FUN game to play (I like the larger ships that are different from what the classic game had!), but it looks to me like the computer is cheating! How else can it, time after time, finish sinking one of my ships and go immediately to another one in the same turn! I just had four of my six ships sunk all in one turn, and in more than one game! I can see how finding another ship immediately after sinking one can be a “happen-so” occasionally, but this happens often!
