  • Disappointing - don’t bother

    By pimpimpimi (Pcmac user)

Issues are only a few pages and come out only 4x a year. Subscribing doesn’t get you access to older issues. Even though I subscribed from iTunes, it didn’t recognize my subscription and I had to go through support. The support process was slow, confusing, and unnecessarily complicated. The app update signed me out, and it seems like I may have to go through all that again to read my second short issue.
  • Paying for nothing

    By Spiritflower79 (Pcmac user)

I really, really want to support this app. I need this app for encouragement and support. I pay for this subscription. However, I go into the app I pay for, click on an issue and it asks me to purchase that issue. So, what am I paying a subscription for? This is a screwed up platform. You guys, we come to you for support. A lot of us are disabled, on limited incomes, and are fighting to heal. I’d really like you to make this right. Either by refunding my subscription or fixing the app.
  • Frustrating

    By MatlockMama733 (Pcmac user)

First regarding the App, not content... this has been the most frustrating experience since the beginning and continues to be one. The company used to support the electronic version of BPHope has nothing but copy paste support desk. They are of no real help at all and I have had to go to friends who are IT professionals for help who find this just as frustrating. Restoring purchases, downloading current issues within my paid subscription window... all of this is such a hassle every time I want to use the app instead of my physical magazine. I will not be continuing the electronic version in the future, two years was plenty to work out the kinks. Things will be fine on iPhone but not iPad or vice versa. It’s an awkward interface to use once you can get to an issue. Overall one star to no star for crap app. Second, regarding content. I had hopes for more, that the volume of articles would increase, that information would be fresh and not just a rehash of what is available online for free. I will likely continue a paper subscription only because I believe in the work being done but there are such better run websites, apps, and print magazines in all sectors to use as examples of how things could be more beneficial to building a strong the app community, making information easier to access, increasing community education, providing better peer support. I would prefer to have a paper magazine that invests more in quality and QUANTITY of content than the really expensive thick paper stock and glossy finish. I read magazines for the words, I go to museums to admire artsy paper and ink creations. I realize that the print edition has nothing directly to do with the app but I hope that those making a profit off the app with this publication will recognize that they can do better and help make our the app community better.
  • Even more

By Keeping an even keel (Pcmac user)

I have had bipolar II most of my adult life. I take medication for both manic and depression. I’ve had many hours and hours and hours of therapy but this app is teaching me even more.
