  • Great App. Expansion needed.

    By craterdrake (Pcmac user)

While the app being free makes my opinions a moot point, the app functions in fantastic fashion, allowing you to scan colors and paints and other objects even to color match or find how to apply basic techniques to achieve a desired effect. Cataloguing your paints and checking if you have that one obscure edge hilight color when you are home or on the go, and wishlisting it so you can snag it the next time you go down to Warhammer or a FLGS is fantastic as well. What I really feel is lost on this app is the exclusion of a projects tab, where you could make your own list of paints you own and name them after projects, so when you are popping between one paint project to another, you can keep tabs and not go batty on which paints you were using.
  • Amazing for all skill levels

    By smartplayer5732 (Pcmac user)

They have knocked it out of the park with this app. Being able to see how colors will look based on a few colors and techniques is such an amazing feature. I love using this app when determining how to paint a new color or style I'm less familiar with. It also gives a good sense of other colors you might not think to try. I only have two minor issues. 1.) I wish you could sort the paint inventory/wishlist based on colors (instead of alphabetically) similar to how they are sorted when you go buy them from a FLGS. Their display rack is so helpful, and being able to see the colors in triplet and around similar colors is helpful when selecting the right styles. 2.) I wish they would display some of the colors on things that aren't the backpacks. I would like to see all the flesh tones on an arm or leg so I could get a better sense of what they look like.
  • Useful with great potential

    By djdjbjsi (Pcmac user)

This app is great for the basics. Every new painter will find this resource to be pure gold. They will find video tutorials that will help them build up a standard skill set. What I love the most, however, is the color-matching function; it's genius! I don't know all the the app colors by heart so knowing which matches the color I want is a great resource. It would be nice to see this app expanded to include a library of hobbying articles to help build upon and expand the hobbyist skill-set. Basing would be an easy one that GW could easily keep promoting its products; the skull and vegetation sets they just put out, or how to use spare parts from kits to spice up the bases, and also include how to use other elements like cork, random pieces from nature, etc, to make more interesting bases. Just an idea :) I can't wait to see if they will expand this app!
  • Nice app once it works

    By Cinema4207 (Pcmac user)

UPDATE - not sure why but the app works now and it is AMAZING- leaving my original post but I am guessing it just downloaded the app and maybe has to connect to WiFi to download all the images instead of wireless. Not sure but it works now - Downloaded this - which replaced the previous app. I have been a huge fan of the the app apps until this one. Not only did it delete my current inventory but no pictures show with paint by model or any of the other options unless it links to a specific page on their site marking this app useless at this point. I hope it gets fixed, as the way they show it working in the previews above would make this app FAR superior to an app that was already great.
