Software Features and Description

1. The remote control app offers a wide range of buttons that are available on a physical remote control, an easy to use touchpad for navigation through the content and a list of apps installed on TV.

2. Smart TV Remote turns your iPhone or iPad into a smart remote control for your Sony TV.

3. Launch Smart TV Remote app, select your Sony TV from the list of detected devices and enter the PIN displayed on the TV screen into the app.

4. Smart TV Remote is designed specifically to control Sony Smart TVs.

5. Kraftwerk 9, Inc is not an affiliated entity of Sony Corporation, and Smart TV Remote application is not an official product of Sony.

6. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable.

7. You no longer have to look for your Sony TV remote control or buy a new one in order to replace the one broken down.

8. With Smart TV Remote app you can easily launch apps installed on your TV, such as Netflix, Youtube or a web-browser.

9. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period.

10. Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal.

11. To control your Sony TV, make sure that your TV is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your mobile device.

The Perfect App

Sony TV with AppleTV and want to control it from your phone in one place? This is the app without 1,000 different gimmicks. It does everything I want but one thing which is not remotely a showstopper, the 15s forward/back buttons. Other than that I find this a one stop app to do everything I want with my Sony TV with AppleTV. To get on my soapbox for a moment, I agree with another review I read. This person built this app with their own blood, sweat, and tears. Nothing in life is free so either deal with the ads or buy the app. Stop whining that they should spend their time to make something free for you to use.
Works well, occasionally actions are delayed on TV

This app works well for my X900F. Occasionally there is delay with actions. One improvement I’ll suggest: put Back and Home buttons on the first control page as well, so I don’t need to constantly switching pages.
APP works great! Need to manually turn on the TV first though.

Pay the few bucks for the app. In a perfect world the app would only be available for purchase. I really don’t like when the cheaper apps like this one have a free version. It makes it seem like a worse app than it is. It really works well. I only wish iPhone had the IR sensor so they could power on my device as well. Perhaps have an option to buy one for a cheap price with the purchase of the app. Anyway I’m happy with it.
This app is a lifesaver!

The the app sensor went out on nearly brand new TV. I couldn’t even turn my tv on and off. I tried other this app apps but they were clunky and didn’t work well. This one is seamless, fast, and gives me access to everything a traditional the app would.
