What is Secure Files? The Secure Files app is a file protection app that encrypts files with a password hash and stores them inside the app. The app also stores the hash of the password in the Keychain, ensuring that the actual password is never stored physically. The app allows users to have an unlimited number of folders, each protected with different passwords, inside other protected folders. The app also offers PIN protection to further restrict access to the contents of the app.
1. When importing your files in a protected folder, they are encrypted with a password hash and stored inside the app.
2. Nobody can know it, except you! Moreover, the files inside the app are stored encrypted as well, so even if you lose your phone or it gets Jailbroken, by no means can someone open and view these files.
3. It means that at no point of time the actual password is stored physically.
4. Secure Files does not have a backup feature, it does not store your files in the cloud.
5. The hash of the password is stored in the Keychain.
6. To further restrict anyone from accessing the contents of the app you can set a PIN protection.
