What is 1942 Classic Arcade? Air Strike: Pacific Warfare WW II is a mobile game set in World War II where the player takes on the role of a fighter pilot named "Super Ace". The goal is to reach Tokyo and destroy the entire Japanese air fleet by going through 20 levels and traveling through different locations. The player starts and ends each level on an aircraft carrier and must fly their plane to fight against enemies over sea and land. The game offers power-ups to increase firepower and chances of survival.

Game Features and Description

1. And before you reach the main city, you will travel through Midway, Marshall, Attu, Rabaul, Leyte, Saipan, Iwo Jima, and Okinawa.

2. You get some different power ups to increase your firepower and chances of survival after destroying certain plane formations.

3. It is World War II, the story takes place in 1942 and you take on the role of "Super Ace", a brave fighter pilot.

4. There are 20 levels to go through and the goal is to reach Tokyo and destroy the entire Japanese air fleet.

5. There are such power-ups as two machine guns, two side planes, extra loops and so on.

6. Then on your plane you fly to struggle against enemies over sea and land and shoot them all down.

7. * Touch the "lighting" button to make special lightning attacks.

8. Each level you start and end on an aircraft carrier.

Rip Off...update wipes out progress

Let’s begin by explaining that the latest update wipes out most of what you spent money and time on, basically taking your money and providing no return. Second is the many glitches of the update which include how the game gets stuck with an enemy that you can’t kill cause it’s too off screen and the level won’t end, or you just fly with no enemies and level never ends. This happens on Levels 12, 17, 22, 23, 26, 29, and 40. It may occur on later levels but that’s as far as I have gotten so far. The developers need to give back our hard earned money or fix the features lost by the update, which include my weapons lasting 30 seconds, the weapons effectiveness back to same power, the dozens of magnets, double stars, power ups, and emps (lightning strike) that I’ve earned and/or paid for and so on. Finally, provide help pages to explain the ways to earn features, planes, what other new things you’ve done, and so on. I almost think it is not included so they can take your money and not give you what is expected. I don’t mind the ads as long as the rewards actually work as advertised following watching the video. Right now 1 out of 3/4 don’t pay off. A game with nostalgic potential but reverse of update or serious attention to issues need to be executed.
Buggy, unfinished, bloated with ads

Be prepared to watch a lot of ads and not receive any reward. Also, several levels - including the new ones from the last update - are unplayable. You just fight a few enemies and then there's nothing. It goes on forever without ending the level. You'll immediately notice several bugs and some atrocious English when playing this game. For example, when you use the lightning attack, your plane is sometimes teleported to the left side of the screen for no apparent reason. Also, there are unskippable ads that really interrupt the experience. Often, when you try to watch an ad in exchange for resources or a revive, nothing happens at all and you get no reward. Finally, the language is laughably bad, to the point where I can't even understand what some of the phrases are trying to say.

Unless you like spending lots of money and/or watching 4 hours of ads a day for little more than table scraps, this game wouldn’t be for anyone. You literally have to watch dozens of 30 second ads for the “freebies”. But the problem is you only get credit for watching every other ad or every third ad. And the rewards for the hours of ads you’d watch each day will take years to accumulate enough to advance. Update: started tracking. Watched 96 ads (mostly 30 second ads) got credit for 31. In general I would have enjoyed the game but due to the fact it takes 3x+ ads to get the credit for watching them and the rewards for the ads should be 3x+ better, not only am I deleting, but I’m so annoyed I’m writing a review for the first time.
Fun for what it is

I pair the extra to put the kibosh on ads, and it worked for a while. A long while. With the recent update, after every map, there’s an ad now though. Every. Single. Map. When intentionally watching an ad for a free chest opening, it won’t register the watch, and make you rewatch a video to move to the next screen. Maybe it can be addressed in a future bug fix or something, as the “restore purchases” button does nothing. I don’t have Facebook to message about it, so maybe a review will work? That could be another thing, have a way for people without Facebook to message about the app maybe. Regardless, app is deleted, I’m over it. Tired of ads after everything, AFTER paying for the ad free content and plane upgrade.
