If you’re a fan of monster the app-style games, this is hands down the BEST on mobile. My only serious complaint is the energy system, there’s just not enough to play throughout the day. You’re allowed to spend crystals a couple times per day depending on your VIP level (based on real money spent in game) but even with this, it’s still spent too quickly. When you’re “breaking” your monsters power levels, you’re required to spend high amounts of energy to collect the necessary monster books/pages. You’ll go through 100+ energy in a matter of minutes on the higher stages. I’d like the option to spend real money to eliminate the energy system, something like $5.99 or $9.99. That, or lower the amount of energy required to challenge and raid trainers for monster books and pages.

I’m not sure how long this game will last, what with Nintendo fiercely and rabidly holding on to their IP (while I don’t blame them, it’s a slippery slope...but that’s another story for another day). As it stands, this is probably the third time I’ve had a version of this game on my phone, and aside from the translation errors and oddities I’ve seen, this is a pretty good game. This game isn’t strictly a P2W model: I’ve spent maybe $5-$10 in the past to unlock some upper-echelon content early, but this game CAN be played without spending a dime. The game uses an energy system that I’m not fond of, but you can often acquire extra energy through regular gameplay. The music is slightly repetitive and doesn’t quite loop correctly, but I usually have my phone on mute as a default. The graphics are quite good, although maybe a step or two down from the real thing. Controlling your character via the on-screen joystick can be a chore, but the game does have an “objective auto-routing” feature that helps immensely; the only downside is that sometimes-necessary random encounters are completely bypassed this way. While there are issues here and there, none of them are quite glaring enough for the game to lose a star, IMHO. Great job!!! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

This app has honestly just broken my heart enough to the point where I’m going to take actual action against them. Today my account was reset and i was asked to log in for the first time in literally 5 months. I have never made an account because it has always auto-signed me in, and given me a server option. I have reached out to their support center and i haven't received any effort what so ever. I am appalled and i can honestly say they are scamming their players. Ive seen multiple reviews of people who buy gems and then have their accounts reset later down the line. It’s only been two weeks since I’ve bought gems, but i almost started buying 10 dollars worth of gems every week for fun. Now that i quit buying, my account isn’t existing anymore. Please do not download this app because i have a feeling this wont be on the app store once I expose them for their malpractice and lackadaisical attitudes. Please reach out to me, for this can all be avoided with a reimbursement or account reactivation with an account set up option and email link. Which i dont know why it would be necessary because you have all of my general app store information.

I think the game is honestly great in all areas. Obviously it’s an app, so it’s gonna have the energy & all the other issues, which really aren’t even ISSUES, just a simple way to make a little extra money and I have no quarrels with that. MY problem, & maybe it’s literally just my problem, but the Pokémon can become extremely annoying to catch, especially in Safari Mode. I could have a senior card to try and catch some A-Rank or higher Pokémon & knock their health down to like 5-10 hp & their literally STILL breaking out of ultra balls & even great balls. I get maybe having to use a poke ball 2-3 for a harder Pokémon, but when I’m throwing great/ultra balls @ pikachus & other B-ranks & I’m going thru like 4-5 balls just to catch one Pokémon, that’s a problem. All in all tho, it’s still a great game. First game inna long time I’ve felt the urge to be on constantly like an actual console. But please fix the poke ball problem
