Only part way through the first episode and running into a few problems. First, the controls are a little cumbersome. It’s disorienting when it locks you into a camera position that’s different that you were expecting. Second, activating magic is harder than the game thinks it is. More often than not, I back out of the view I was in. The exact motion that activates magic and doesn’t back out requires lots of trial and error. And finally, the puzzles aren’t intuitive. I guessed the order of the slide puzzle on the first attempt but there was no feedback to tell me that it required more than that, causing me to second guess my order and try other orders, thus wasting my time. I do enjoy the game so far. Most of the issues are actually common to this developer.
  • It IS glitchy, but...

So, I agree with other reviews that the game has its problems; items vanishing, two finger swipe control extremely frustrating, and it’s short (well, it was much longer for me since I was wandering around looking for items that I’d never find). But the game is beautiful, the puzzles are layered and creative along the lines of The Room. So much so, that I reset the game a few times in order to get all the way through. It’s only .99 cents so, for a dollar, if you’re willing to put up with a few glitches and a reset or two, it’s worth it. Hopefully, the devs will address the issues and release an update. It has great potential. Much better than their other games (which are way too easy and linear).
  • Fun, but short

    By cruzsf (Pcmac user)

It’s one chapter of a larger story. Not sure when the other chapters will be released. Since the story wasn’t wrapped up, the brief gameplay (an 1 hour or so) was a little unsatisfying. It’s like watching a TV mystery series, but episode 1 was just a half hour long and episode 2 isn’t going to come out for months. It was only .99 cents though, and I don’t mind funding developers...I just hope this will help with releasing the other chapters sooner. I might wait until all chapters are released before continuing. There’s very little instruction, which I personally enjoy in puzzle games. Solutions are more satisfying when you also need to figure out how to work things. The puzzles are like codes you need to crack. Artwork and music were also nice. Controls were funky...sometimes when I tapped something to look at it, I ended up moving to a different location. And being able to move some objects that have no function or purpose is a bit cheap. That trick gets boring fast so I guess that’s one pro for a really short game.
  • Good but short.

    By Gamer1st1 (Pcmac user)

This is a one room game at this point, but the puzzles are good. Not too hard and not too easy. It took me about an hour but I’m severely sleep deprived. Biggest issue I ran into is the game ends it’s only chapter when you get the book. Problem is it didn’t tell me that was all there was to do so I messed around for quite a while trying to figure out what to do with the book when I got it. Had to look up a vid and saw that was the end in a message that appeared in their game, but for some reason I didn’t get in mine. Anyway, I say it was worth the .99 for the enjoyment I got out of it, but some may consider it too short.
