Software Features and Description

1. STL Maker uses the TrueDepth sensor found on the iPhone X, XS, XS Max, XR and the 2018 iPad Pro to create 3D scans.

2. STL Maker requires an iPhone X, XS, XS Max, XR or new iPad Pro to create scans since it depends on the TrueDepth front-facing sensor.

3. There is no cloud processing of scans and all scan data remains on your phone.

4. All scans are saved on your device and can be accessed in the Files -> STL Maker folder on your phone.

5. All scans are saved as an STL file which can easily be exported to your computer and converted to a 3D printable file.

6. STL Maker does not backup or store any data in the cloud.

7. STL Maker is GPU intensive! You may notice a slowdown after your 5th or 6th scan in succession.

8. There is no option to use the world-facing camera to create 3D scans.

9. All rendering is done on-device and there is no need to register or store files in the cloud.

10. Your iPhone is smart enough to slow its processing down during repetitive intensive operations.

11. There is no charge for saving scans.

For non-U.S users, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto Playstore on PC » click Configure_Download. This will auto-download Google Play Store on your Windows 11.

A very good scanner.

Thank you for creating a fully non-cloud-dependent, using-device-capabilities, non-login, non-social-centric, non-subscription; easy to use and working the app scanner! I deleted several scanning apps when they required logins and their-server storage. I just want a scanner not a relationship! Put in an OS share button for the scan and then I’ll bump the rating to a 5.
Great Potential

Just scan an item into Fusion 360 and the dimensions are basically correct. I would like to see some basic cropping/editing features before I save the file. Also, it is not clear if I should rotate the phone or the object. Add the ability to remotely stream to another device while scanning. Add different output formats.
Why did I just spend $15?

I’m not sure what functionality this app provides that isn’t in ScandyPro... If this is an old app that had since been replaced by it then I’ll just use ScandyPro and I’d like a refund on this one.
Needs work

Getting better scans from much cheaper apps . I was disappointed thought the extra cost would mean better scans
