What is HeyTell? HeyTell is a voice messaging app that allows users to send and receive voice messages with other HeyTell users with the press of a single button. The app is free and works on any internet connection. HeyTell offers superior audio quality and allows users to choose from three different privacy levels to control how users can contact them without an invite. The app also supports iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch devices.

Software Features and Description

1. * TIP: To send your location information to a contact, you must have the Maps page open (tap the Target button) when you send the HeyTell message.

2. Use HeyTell as a walkie talkie, intercom, or instant voice messaging system to send quick voice messages to friends and family with iPhones or iPods.

3. * TIP: IF YOU GET AN "INBOX FULL" message, there's no need to delete the app or messages: This just means that your friend has to listen or reply to the messages you sent before you can continue to send them messages.

4. For privacy reasons, HeyTell does not send your location unless you approve by sending messages with Maps open.

5. + Medium Privacy: Anyone who knows your contact information and is friends with one of your HeyTell friends can connect with you.

6. * TIP: If you did not enable Pushes on initial install, open the Apple Settings app, select Notifications, ensure it's set to On, select HeyTell, and ensure that Badges and Alerts are both set to On.

7. - You do not need to share personal information to connect with HeyTell contacts.

8. + Low Privacy: Anyone who knows your contact information can connect with you without an invite.

9. * TIP: Swipe left or right on the conversation and click the DELETE button to delete messages.

Download and install the HeyTell app on your Windows 10,8,7 or Mac in 4 simple steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac:

Install the emulator on your PC or Mac:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "HeyTell"

To get HeyTell on Windows 11, check if there's a native HeyTell Windows app here » ». If none, follow the steps below:

Download the Amazon-Appstore » (U.S only)
- Click on "Get" to begin installation. It also automatically installs Windows Subsystem for Android.
- After installation, Goto Windows Start Menu or Apps list » Open the Amazon Appstore » Login (with Amazon account)

For non-U.S users, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto Playstore on PC » click Configure_Download. This will auto-download Google Play Store on your Windows 11.

Installing HeyTell:
- Login to your computer's PlayStore or Amazon AppStore.
- Search for "HeyTell" » Click "Install" to install HeyTell

We love it. My group of pals are spread across the country and are in our late 30s and early 40s. We stay in touch almost exclusively thru this app (in chipmunk voices). We all wish that a setting could be enabled so that we could capture and keep our favorite heytells of each other to save or send to others. It may be a privacy issue, but surely it can be made to be adjusted so that the message creator can allow his or her messages to be shared by others. It also crashes constantly on the iPhone now. Can we get help with our favorite app please? We use it all the time and don't mind paying! I'd pictures could be sent it would be awesome. My group toggles back and forth from this app to FB messenger to get the features of both. Thanks for the great APP! Please fix the crashes on iOS?!

He app itself functions well for me, i wish it blocked text notifications while recording though. Thats annoying as can be. The major issue, what you brings you down more then a star for me is the notification menu. You have a close button and an options button. If you hit close, okay its done. But you hit options and you hit open or listen and it opens the app and then theres a close button again. This is a ridiculous design. Why not just have an open and close button. No options needed? The only reason to have options is if you can actually listen right from the notification and not open the app. This update did NOT fix the notification/options issue

This is a really good app for something in between a phone call a text message because it’s slightly more personal than texting but doesn’t distract you like a phone call, especially if you’re driving. The only thing is, you need to get rid of the time limit. I hate when it cuts me off midsentence and I can’t continue until the listener checks their messages. Can you just make it unlimited speaking in one of your further updates?
