What is Thread Tracker 117? Thread Tracker 117 is an app designed to help users keep track of their DMC Art 117 Threads. It features all 488 colours in the Article 117 range + 36 417 variegated, including the new Oct 2013 colours. The app allows users to set the ownership status of each thread and view a detail page with information about the thread, including the number, colour name, sample of the colour, and ownership status. The app also includes filtering and search features to make it easy to find and manage threads.

Software Features and Description

1. 4 buttons down the bottom of the application allow you to easily filter out/in threads based upon 'ownership status', allowing you to view only the ones you need to buy, or own easily.

2. Each thread is presented sorted by Code, with the ability to view a detail page which tells you the number, the colour name, a sample of the colour, view and modify the 'ownership status' and view and adjust the amount you own/need to buy.

3. Thread Tracker 117 is a simple application designed to help you keep track of your DMC Art 117 Threads, it features all 488 colours in the Article 117 range + 36 417 varirgated, including the new Oct 2013 colours.

4. By setting the Mode on the threads you need to buy to "Need to buy" and then selecting "Don't", "Do" and "Bobbin" so they are in the deselected state, you will be left with a list of the threads you need to buy, hence forming a Shopping List.

5. The application allows you to set 'ownership status' of 'Don't own, Do own, On Bobbin and Need to Buy' per thread.

6. A search feature allows you to find threads by their Code.

This app is nice and helpful. It COULD be amazing if just a few things were improved. 1. Add new colors, having a current color list is absolutely necessary 2. Be able to track what the app you have and what the app you need separately. Meaning, if I have 3 of one color but i need to buy 2 more they should be tracked separately rather than being one or the other. 3. More options in the search feature.

I just got this app and it’s ok. There are lots of colors missing and I wish they would update those colors more often. I also wish we could place the same color in two or three different categories at the same time, like do own and bobbing for example. But I can only use one at the time.

I’ve found this tracker extremely useful in tracking the threads that I have in my DMC collection. However, it hasn’t been updated in a year, so it is not showing the current complete set of DMC threads available. Since I maintain a full set, it needs to be updated to continue to be as useful in the future.

I love the app for what it is but it has some shortcomings, most notably how out of date the the app list is. I understand keeping up with the color changes is a time intensive process but still, that’s kind of what we’re paying for. Alternatively, if we could enter our own the app colors that would be good enough, but you only get what’s in the app. When it goes over a year without an update, there’s a lot of the app I have that I can’t track.
