  • great way to start, needs a little help

    I'm one run away from finishing this program. I would have finished today actually, but the worst design flaw with this app got in the way - I went to check how much longer I had, and accidentally hit one of the giant arrows that takes you back or forward in your run, meaning I hit the back arrow and it started my run over for me. These forward/back arrows should not be on the main run screen, since they are easy to touch (they're huge) and I've started runs over so many times accidentally. An option for a few extra weeks of training would be great for people who aren't already a healthy weight and relatively active. I did a few runs a couple of times because I just was not able to do the ones after without stopping constantly. All around, I would recommend this if you want to start running. It's been a great help and I can do so much more than j could eight weeks ago.

    This is a great C25K app. The app is nicely designed, with a clean interface, and has helpful audio cues for warming up, walking, running, and cooling down. I used this app religiously the best three months or so to run my first the app! I don’t think I would’ve without this app. The app isn’t perfect tho. The notifications in-app to purchase the developer’s other apps can become annoying. Also, finishing the program doesn’t mean you’ll be able to run a the app. The app will train you to run continuously for 35 min, how far you get in that time is up to your ability and pace. It got me through my first the app, but YMMV. It’s a well-design and great app and I recommend it wholeheartedly. I’ve begun using the the app pacer app in preparation for my next the app and find it to be just as wel-designed. After that I think I’ll move on to their bridge to 10k app. This is the C25K app to get!
  • Great App! Lost 60lbs!!

    This is a great app. I was never a runner and didn't even understand why people went for any long distance runs. Weighing at 270lbs (5'8 height, age 34, asthmatic), I was skeptical and was afraid I wouldn't be able to do this but decided to go for it. I pushed and never gave up. It's been 5 months and now I'm down to 210lbs and loving to run! I completed the app and 10k events and I can even consistently run for 8.5mi on my long runs. This app is great!! Now I'm working on increasing my pace using their pacer apps!! Highly recommend!! Tip: You WILL have bad days, don't let a bad day define your progress. When I had bad days, I just did the workout again on the next running day until I could complete it before moving on to the next one. Don't give up and don't stop once you complete it all.
  • Easy program that worked for me...

    I’m an ex college football offensive lineman that decided to get back in shape. Being a big guy and able to get to the the app was like a regular sized person scaling Everest. I was so happy and was consistently running the the app portion of workout for months! Only thing I would recommend is to gauge how you’re doing for the week you’re on. Only you know your body. If you have to stay on a certain week again, do it. Take an extra day rest if your joints need it. I know I did. There were several weeks that repeated multiple times because I felt I wasn’t ready to move onto the next. Eventually I got there. And of course like all fat Americans I eventually stopped. So here I am again at week 1, but I know that if I can do it once, I can do it again. You’ll love this app!
