Save yourself some money and learn this formula: X+40, where X is the number of chirps that you have counted in 15 seconds. This is all this app does – it adds 40 to whatever number you enter into this "the app Calculator", it will NOT tell you the temperature if you point your iPhone at a singing the app. A much better app is "CricketSong" which, while far from perfect, at least listens to the call of the the app, analyses it for the chirp count, and performs the calculation.
I wish I could ask for my money back, but this app offers no customer or technical support.

I love the additional features like the local weather information and playing a joke on your friends. I also love the about section which discusses the science behind crickets chirping.
