Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac:

✔ Pros:

- Good selection of skins to choose from

- Weather Wars feature was a favorite for some users

- App is fun to use and good for road trips

- Has a lot of features and templates to choose from

☹ Cons:

- Weather Wars feature has been removed

- Switched to a yearly subscription model

- Logo removal feature was not grandfathered in for previous purchasers

- App crashes when used with Boomerang videos

- Could use more templates or geographically specific ones

- Users were not warned before updates that discontinued features or switched to subscription model

I have a lot of fun with this app but I can only give it 4 stars because it crashes when I try to use it with Boomerang videos. It could use more templates or even geographically specific ones.

This was one of my favorite apps - used it for years. I was disappointed that weather wars was gone, it was my favorite part of the app (used it ALL the time). Also disappointed they went to a yearly subscription - honestly, do not need monthly changes to my weather app and not very happy they did not grandfather in the logo removal for those of us who already purchased that feature. Unfortunately I am going to stop using this now.

This is a very good app. Update: I bought the Pro version, the logo (watermark) needs to go away. Update: I wish they warned us before updating. I paid for the pro version of all InstaFood, InstaPlace and InstaWeather. They discontinued one without warning. The upgraded this one and made it subscription.. Just Wow! ....... Those who pad for the “Pro” version should have all those features just not the “Premium features”. or Pro users should get a “Legacy” subscription like half off. I would of paid 9.99. or Dev should of created one new app called the app and that would be the subscription app. Instaweather would get minimal or no support and definitely no new features. The “Pro” version is now no different than the free version. What?!!!! I don’t see this as being a viable pricing model. Even if it is in the Weather section of the app store, it is still competing with VSCO, which also does video and has a social component, Polarr, which includes a Mac app and many, many more I could be wrong, but we will see.

Developers have switched to a subscription based model but that might still be okay for previous owners of the Pro version - a lot of same features remain (since they have now fixed the ability to remove logo) and still a good selection of skins to choose from, at least for now. I remain cautiously optimistic for this app - it’s one of the first apps I open whenever I take a road trip. 😊
