Software Features and Description

1. We use this app and apart from trying to fix how to stop us forgetting to do it we wanted to make the process as quick as possible because lets face it, everyone wants to spend as little time as possible doing things like this, regardless of how pretty or feature rich the app is.

2. The goal of Log-Book is to create entering car mileage as simple and quick as possible but still be compliant with the tax departments’ requirements.

3. To speed up a trip entry you can add your own common start, destination and purpose entries.

4. There are no pretty graphs, fancy reports or a multitude of settings, just simple, quick entries.

5. - Add entries for each trip including distance, places, reasons and general notes.

6. Once you have used Log Book a few times you will be able to enter a new trip in THREE taps (and that's including the tap to save it).

7. All entries can be exported to a CSV file for manipulation (graphs and wiz-bang formulas) in a spreadsheet.

8. The date and start odometer are entered automatically.

Download and install the Log-Book app on your Windows 10,8,7 or Mac in 4 simple steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac:

Install the emulator on your PC or Mac:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Log-Book on PC [Windows 7/ 8/8.1/ 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Log-Book"
The search will reveal the Log-Book app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Log-Book is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Log-Book.
Now enjoy Log-Book on PC.

Download the Amazon-Appstore » (U.S only)
- Click on "Get" to begin installation. It also automatically installs Windows Subsystem for Android.
- After installation, Goto Windows Start Menu or Apps list » Open the Amazon Appstore » Login (with Amazon account)

For non-U.S users, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto Playstore on PC » click Configure_Download. This will auto-download Google Play Store on your Windows 11.

Installing Log-Book:
- Login to your computer's PlayStore or Amazon AppStore.
- Search for "Log-Book" » Click "Install" to install Log-Book

Does what I need - log mileage for trips

I like that this app does exactly what I need it to do (record mileage for trips) without trying to use my phone’s location services, maps, GPS, or any other automated capability on my phone. The rating of 3 is because I do not like that it only supports one vehicle. It should allow you to record entries for multiple vehicles. I also think the user interface could use an upgrade.
Great App, but...

I have used this app for a couple of years now & I only have 2 complaints. First, I wish you could edit a location name without having to re- typing a whole new location name& then have to go back & put the new location name in place of the old one. Second, since the last update I can’t enter my start & stop times without it going blank on me. Other than that I love this app.
