Pros:

- The kiosk is easy to set up and use, even with an older iPad.

- The news feed on the start screen is a nice feature for employees.

- The app works well across multiple locations and the reporting is fantastic.

- The cost of using the Deputy Kiosk is much lower than traditional timeclocks like Kronos.


Cons:

- The camera can have difficulty taking pictures in certain lighting conditions.

- There is no option to manually take a photo if the auto-detection does not work.

- It is unclear if there is a timeout option for forgetful employees who do not log out.

    The kiosk is great, I did not originally have it in use for my office but recently had two employees break their phones. I setup the kiosk using an older iPad that was scheduled for disposal and it works great even with an older iOS. I like that the "start screen" has the news feed that employees can see before they log in/out. The only thing that gave me trouble was the camera, it had difficulty taking pictures until I got it in perfect lighting conditions which may not always be possible depending on your business. Perhaps the app can offer an option to manually take the photo if the auto-detection does not work. I'm also not sure if there is a timeout option if an employee does not logout, that would be cool for forgetful students. The other option is that if the iPad is turned off it would logout the person also? Those are just some small ideas but could potentially be helpful, other than those small things I have really enjoyed the kiosk!

    This is the worker facing app for clocking in and out from fixed locations that you set. It is well executed just like the rest of the the app service and the companion app that allows clocking in and out remotely from a worker’s device. What’s nice about all of the clock-in and out functions is that you can set specific work locations and see where the time clock activity happens on a map.
