Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Generation for Pc

Okay as I life-long Yu-Gi-Oh! fan I absolutely adore this game. The campaign is fun and the CPUs are challenging enough to be fun without being annoying. There is no better feeling than to be down in a duel and to draw that one card you need to mount an epic comeback. I love that essentially every card in the game is playable and I love just experimenting and having fun building new decks and trying them out. In my eyes, this game is a 5 star game... if it wasn't for the premium cards. Why must all of the cards that I want to play with the most be locked behind a price tag? This game would be so much better if I wasn't forced to pay for cards like Junk Synchron, or Red Eyes Black Dragon, or the Exodia cards. I understand that developers need to generate revenue, but there are simply way too many cards that need to be bought with real money. I think that a good alternative would be to give players the choice to buy packs with real money or with points collected from duels. Of course you'd raise the points price for the premium packs so that it take some time to grind enough points, but I think that would be a good solution. That way you still have people spending money who don't want to grind for the points, and you satisfy players like me who don't have the money to buy the premium cards they want to play with. Or at the very least unlock some of the premium cards and let them be available in the points packs.

It’s basically the full version of the app, with TCG ban list and everything. The only issue is that the game hasn’t been updated in ages, most likely due to Konami’s focus on Duel Links. The game is currently setup for the MR3 format (Which started in 2014), which introduced Pendulum summoning. The ban list is dated around April 2016. There are some major bugs with the game that can cause it to suddenly crash or bug out. The matchmaking is also a bit horrible, mainly due to the fact that you can be at the lowest rank (Bronze I) and still end being matched against the highest ranks (Diamond, Masters, Grandmasters), which can be frustrating if you’re trying to play competitively. You’ll also need to spend a bit of money and buy some packs/structure decks if you want to progress, since the Starter deck won’t get you anywhere past the first few fights and absolutely won’t get you anywhere in Ranked. Farming Duel Points to open Booster Packs will help get you certain cards that you need, but won’t suffice at building you an actual deck. Overall Score - 3/5 It’s basically the full version of the app. It’ll most likely be a suitable choice if your not planning on playing Duel Links. Just don’t expect an update any time soon, since they’ve completely shifted their attention away from the game.

First I want to say that at the time I’m writing this review the game hasn’t been updated in a year. It’s not that the game is bug free and they have nothing to fix, it’s just that they haven’t done anything recently. When I first played this game I was really in love with it. I never felt unfair fueling the ai and making decks to counter them was a lot of fun (I also have beaten all the duelists the 6 times needed). But as I played more and more a few problems started popping up to me. The first major upset are the bugs and crashes. Some of the bugs being that you can’t hit the active button when it should be available, an effect never resolving and some graphic bugs. The next problem is that you can get more than 3 of any card from the in-game points booster backs. With all cards in the same pool it makes it incredibly difficult to collect cards to make those extremely fun decks to play. The last complaint is that the multiplayer is nearly impossible to play on. Whether it’s lag, the bugs I talked about, or the other player roping out every turn. There is also the trouble of even finding a game sometimes too. I love these games but sometimes I wish they would just start this game from scratch or just upload one of the ds/gameboy game

This game has a great mix of challenging, fun, and creativity. You aren’t forced to buy anything, however, if you want to have a better play experience with your favorite cards and powerful decks you will have to spend some money. You can buy decks with points but it takes a while to amass the amount of points you need in order to do so and many of your favorite decks are not available. My only real problem with the gam is that I only have 2 avenues to use forbidden cards—weekly challenge or in multiplayer mode with other members who sign up for the same type of match which is rare. My suggestion would be to unlock the use of those forbidden cards after completing the campaign mode. Some of us just want to fool around with creating decks and having fun battling with them.
