Vicks SmartTemp Thermometer for Pc

Hello my name is Natalie. I am a mother of 2 ages 4 and 5 years old. When they are sick taking their temp is no easy task there's looking for paper or if none writing. The temps in my arm to keep track of them. It's just crazy and my kids are getting impatient because they already dont feel well. I was lucky enough to be part of a social testing group called influenster that lets you test products that match up to certain surveys you take. I was matched with this very thermometer whichever me tell you came just in time! My daughter had suddenly came with the flu over night and having a thermometer that links to your phone and every time you take the temp it reads it and stores and let's you I put the symptoms is every moms best friend . We already naturally have our phones with us or our child is playing games on it so access to the phone a snap. I grabbed thermometer used the Bluetooth connectivity and took my child's temp and there it displayed the temp and showed me through out the day what the different temps were and at what time I even emailed with the option to To my husband her almost chart so he can see her temps it's great for sending to doctors or saving for the next visit letting them see how the child been feeling I'm a huge fan and recommend for those moms that need a fast way to take temp and keep organized

I wanted to off set the poor reviews with my actual experience. The thermometer and the app interface appear to be accurate and working well for me. The person who wrote that values can't be entered manually didn't read the very easy to understand FAQ section that explains how to do this or maybe it wasn't available at the time of their review. The only thing missing from the app right now is the manual. I was hoping it was actually there under the heading "Manual" so that I didn't have to keep the small paper foldout that came with the thermometer. Hopefully, this will be added soon in an update. Setup was finished in about 1 minute. The app even shows how much battery life is left. My battery life shows 82% even though I just purchased this. The thermometer didn't come with one of those plastic strips - that you remove upon first use - that would decrease battery drain before use. I gave this app and thermometer 5 stars because it does what it says it's suppose to and appears to do this accurately.

I was very excited to receive this thermometer from Influenster for testing purposes. I am a very busy mom of a 5 and 3 year old boys who hate their temperature to be takin but love to play with my iPhone. So when I combined to good with the bad the results were amazing. I linked the thermometer up with the Bluetooth on my phone after I download the the app SmartTemp App and the boys had fun watching their temperature rise on the app. It reads quite quickly and is very accurate. This app also keeps track of all the boys readings in their own personal profile. Couldn't ask for a better way to stay organized when we live such a busy lifestyle. And now that my oldest just stared kindergarten it seems like he is catching everything under the sun so when he's feeling a little under the weather we grab our new the app thermometer to find out if we need to take a dose of Tylenol.

I appreciate the overall simplicity this app provides. I am a blind individual. It has always been a chore to tell my temp. I had a thermometer that had differing audible beeps. This was to let you know an approximate of your temp. However, then I would need sighted assistance to know actual temp. Along came the smart thermometers. Great idea, which provides the blind community it's independence. I first purchased a much more expensive unit from Withings. Couldn't even activate the thermometer. The app didn't work with a screen reader... So I couldn't even finish activating my account. Along comes the the app Smart Thermometer... The app is completely accessible for a blind individual to use. Not only that; I didn't have to open an account... Then build a profile. This app just has you start a profile. Building a basic profile and activating my thermometer took less than 5minutes to complete. Then was able to take first temperature reading. I can now follow my temp when not feeling well... More importantly, I do not need to bother someone to read a temp for me when running a fever. Highly recommend to those in my blind community... Easy setup with directions already in the app. You can't go wrong!
